Leaked List Sparks Tension as APC’s Alleged 2027 Oyo Candidates Emerge.
A fresh list reportedly containing the names of candidates for the 2027 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has surfaced online, sparking widespread political reactions across the state.
The list, which includes names for the governorship, senatorial and House of Representatives seats, is said to have been compiled and forwarded to Abuja for top-level consideration.
Alli Projected as Governorship Candidate
According to the alleged list, Senator Sharafadeen Alli is being projected as the APC’s governorship candidate for the 2027 elections, with Mr. Soji Adedeji listed as the deputy governorship candidate.
Soji Adedeji was described as the Chairman of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) and also identified as a brother to Zacch Adedeji.
List Allegedly Submitted to President Tinubu
Sources familiar with the development claimed that the list was allegedly submitted to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday in Abuja by Senator Ayoade Ademola Adeseun, who is also being rumored as the new leader of the APC in Oyo State.
It was further gathered that some notable figures were reportedly involved in the compilation of the list, including:
Senator Yunus Akintunde
Zacch Adedeji
Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja
Although their specific roles could not be independently confirmed, sources reportedly described them as emerging power brokers within the party’s structure in Oyo State.
Aspirants to Attend Alli’s Declaration in Uniform Aso Ebi
This development is coming as Senator Sharafadeen Alli is expected to officially declare his governorship ambition on Friday.
According to reports, other aspirants whose names allegedly appeared on the submitted list have been instructed to appear in the same Aso Ebi with Alli during the declaration event. They were also reportedly directed to mobilise supporters across the state to show solidarity.

State Assembly List Still Under Compilation
A source also confirmed that the list of candidates for the 32 State House of Assembly constituencies is still being compiled and may be released next week.
Despite the rising discussions surrounding the leaked list, APC stakeholders in Oyo State have not officially confirmed its authenticity. It remains uncertain whether the list truly reflects the position of the party’s leadership ahead of the 2027 elections.
Political observers have also noted that candidate selection within major political parties is typically determined through internal consultations and primaries, meaning the list may still change as the election season draws closer.
While the list has generated significant attention across Oyo State, the unfolding situation suggests that the APC’s 2027 political arrangements may still be subject to further negotiations, internal power shifts, and party-wide primaries.
As the election cycle approaches, more clarity is expected to emerge regarding the party’s final lineup and official endorsements.
