The Oyo State Government has announced a 24-hour extension of the curfew currently imposed across 10 Local Government Areas in the state.
According to the government, the curfew remains in effect from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily as part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace, security, and public order in the affected areas.
The extension is expected to help security agencies continue monitoring the situation and ensure the safety of residents and property.
Affected Local Government Areas
The curfew applies to the following Local Government Areas:
Oriire Local Government Area – Headquarters: Ikoyi-Ile
Oorelope Local Government Area – Headquarters: Igboho
Irepo Local Government Area – Headquarters: Kisi
Saki West Local Government Area – Headquarters: Saki
Saki East Local Government Area – Headquarters: Ago-Amodu
Atisbo Local Government Area – Headquarters: Tede
Itesiwaju Local Government Area – Headquarters: Otu
Iseyin Local Government Area – Headquarters: Iseyin
Olorunsogo Local Government Area – Headquarters: Igbeti
Atiba Local Government Area – Headquarters: Offa-Meta
Residents in the affected areas are advised to comply fully with the directive and cooperate with security personnel throughout the duration of the curfew.
The state government further urged citizens to remain calm, law-abiding, and vigilant while normalcy is being restored.
